Get involved.

Our work connecting veterans with service animals gives them both a chance to have a brighter future, but it can’t happen without your support.

Because we can all find a way to help.

Want to help? We’d love to have you.

Grant Writers Needed

Safety Paws UA is seeking experienced grant writers to help us expand our mission. As a volunteer grant writer, you'll play a crucial role in securing funding that directly impacts two lives at once - giving rescue dogs purpose and Ukrainian veterans the support they desperately need. Your skills in research, writing, and storytelling will help us access foundations, government programs, and other funding sources that can scale our canistherapy program.

We're looking for volunteers who can:

  • Research and identify relevant grant opportunities

  • Craft compelling grant proposals and applications

  • Help maintain our grant calendar and submission deadlines

  • Collaborate with our team to gather program data and impact stories

Whether you can dedicate a few hours a month or take on larger projects, your contribution will make a tangible difference. With nearly 1.8 million Ukrainian veterans projected to need psychological support, and a growing population of rescue dogs seeking homes, the need has never been greater.

Partner With Us

Safety Paws UA is building a network of partners to expand access and we'd love to discuss working together. We're seeking partnerships with organizations that share our commitment to supporting Ukraine's veterans and civilian populations impacted by the war.

We're looking to connect with:

  • Animal Shelters & Rescue Organizations - Provide shelter space, foster networks to socialize dogs in training, behavioral assessments to identify service dog candidates, and transport assistance for rescue dogs from frontline areas

  • Training and animal welfare organizations - Share expertise, resources, or facilities to enhance our dog training programs

  • Veterans organizations - Help us identify veterans who could benefit from service dogs and provide ongoing community support

  • Rehabilitation facilities - Integrate canistherapy into your treatment programs and refer patients to our services

  • Funding partners - Support program expansion through grants, sponsorships, or fundraising collaborations

  • Corporate partners - Provide in-kind donations, employee volunteer programs, or cause marketing opportunities
